Hi, I’m Kaitlin, a high school senior from Hollywood, Florida. I will be blogging abroad from Amboise, France this summer where I’ll be living with a host family, taking French classes, and traveling around the country. I hope you enjoy reading my posts! Favorite Activities: Gardening, knee boarding, listening to my music.

Favorite Music: My favorite style of music is more on the soft side, for example I enjoy Iron & Wine, Coldplay and Ray LaMontage, Ingrid Michealson, Jack Johnson I also enjoy music from around the world, such as, Amelie les Crayons, Anuna, Bob Marley, and Obel’s song “Just So”. There are so many artists that are worth mentioning, but these are just a few of my favorites.
Favorite TV Shows: I honestly don’t have many favorite TV shows. I do enjoy watching the Food Network’s Ace Of Cakes, and Good Eats. Aspiring to become a baker one day, I enjoy watching other people’s talents in baking. Golden Girls is also a show I have recently started to like. Golden Girls is a show that keeps me laughing and kept me good company when I had a cold holding me back from getting any sleep.
Favorite Movies: A few years back, my dad started renting foreign films from the video store and ever since then he has created a passion in me for foreign films. “La Vie En Rose” was a movie that really gave me the desire to speak French. Other foreign films that I consider worth watching would be “Autumn Spring” and “Pauline and Paulette”. “Pride and Prejudice” is truly a good movie, and naturally, “Becoming Jane” just goes hand in hand with “Pride and Prejudice”. “Mr. Bean’s Holiday” is a movie I can watch again and again, any “Mr. Bean” film is hilarious. Last but certainly not least “One Who Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” is a movie that I enjoy because, it portrays human behavior well.
Favorite Books: Sarah’s Key, The Hiding Place, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Great Expectations, Our Town, Stargirl, The Notebook, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series, and The Secret Life of Bees.
